Before anything else, let me, one more time, say a sincere thank you to the Alaska Sisters-in-Crime for all their hard work in putting on the Left Coast Crime Convention in Anchorage 2001.  Your dedication and determination gave my family and me a wonderful set of memories that this picture album can only ever approximate.
Dana Stabenow was the major LCC mover with whom I came into contact, but I know there were many others involved.  (Heck, I met most of the volunteers while I was up there --  what a great crew! :)  Chief among the players, for me, though, were Elisa Hitchcock and Kimberley Gray (a terrific team, whose research into, and notion of using, the death of Chief Sturgus as a focal point for the Convention was inspirational -- brilliant, even!); Kathleen Putman, who wrote one of the best questionnaires I've ever seen for the Authors-2-The-Bush program, and who managed the feat of coordinating and sending 52 of us into different walks of life, to perfection; and  Vicki Russell, who sent even more of us into various Anchorage schools and who master-minded the fabulously energizing Student Workshops with Writers on Friday during the Convention.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!
(Whew! :)
It is now my VERY great honor to dedicate to
the hardworking gals and guys of LCC2001
this here-to-fore-unseen photo of:
The Elusive Wild Alaskan  Angel Bear
May he guard your every future endeavor and bring you creative inspiration on fiery wings.
Love and kisses,
CJ Songer :)
