Scrying

Scrying takes many forms - the most common of which is the Crystal ball readings. But scrying simply means the ability to see and focus upon an object. It can be used in many ways, crystal balls, mirrors, bowls of water - in fact anything with a reflective surface.

Crystal ball readings have suffered form the fairground image of the Gypsy fortune teller - they have been reduced to a party piece or something for light entertainment but can be used for much more than that.

The object that you are using in Scrying enables you to focus and project imagery from within. It can enable you to see and identify things that you have been unable to create within your mind alone.

Scrying is a simple building block to mediumship type abilities - it acts as a catalyst and focus to your innate abilities and enables you to tune yourself in easier.

Traditional scrying is usually associated with rituals - blessing the tool and asking for help in its use. This all helps as a focus and tunes yourself in. The preparation can be as important as the actual scrying as it makes the act itself easier. It prepares the mind and opens up channels that allow you to work better.

Many people find candlelight very useful when learning to scry - it creates great imagery and shadows upon a reflective source and allows you more opportunities to interpret what you see. As with all forms of scrying, when viewing imagery upon a crystal ball it is necessary to view it as symbols. Not everything comes through as though it is a video image - in fact this is rare,. There is usually a degree of interpretation requireed and this is where the skills are necessary and where practice helps you to achieve better results.

Some people actually view images upon the surface - others simply use the shadows and light patterns reflected upon it to read symbols that they can place upon it - whichever method works for you just say what you feel. As with all psychic matters don't allow logic to interrupt. This is easier said than done.

A simple relaxation exercise being done as part of your preparation will allow you to tune in and allow yourself a better chance at interpreting imagery.

Sit in a candle lit room with your tool before you. Close your eyes and concentrate upon your breathing. If you are capable of visualizing, picture yourself surrounded by white light.

     .

Slowly allow your breathing to slow, each time you breathe in feel energy flowing into you =- each time you breathe out feel all your tension and worries flow away. AS you do this you will feel yourself relax and your breathing will slow.

When you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and look upon the reflective surface. turn or move the item until you have as few reflections as possible then allow your eyes to tune out - look through the item not at it!

Try not to stare or push things too much - allow things to happen slowly and be prepare to try a few times before you get results. Even if you receive no images you will have relaxed yourself tremendously.
