Father's Day Funology

June 17, 2001

Father's Day earliest appearance was in 1908, 1 year after Mother's Day. A National Father's Day Committee was established in 1936 and in 1972 the 3rd Sunday in June became a National Holiday. Cards, gifts and doing some of dad's chores are ways we express our love and gratitude for our fathers.
