When Hot Wheels were first introduced in 1968 they had a VW in their line-up. The Custom Volkswagen with its' exposed engine, redline tires and sliding sunroof (not all had the sunroof) was just the beginning. I have a few of the Custom Volkswagens in my collection, but as you can see - they are in played with condition. Many other VWs were to follow including the Volkswagen Beach Bomb and Evil Weevil (also from the redline era), the Sunagon (Volkswagen Vanagon Camper), the Baja Bug, the VW Bug and the VW Race Bus. Of course I don't have every VW bug, baja and bus Hot Wheels has made (yet), but here are some pics of my collection thus far. Note: At this time, I am not listing all the variations of a particular model. Many of the models shown have variations on them (e.g.: wheel types, tampos, colors, etc.)
