the AKA Region 4 Page
SEMI -URGENT BREAKING NEWS -- AKA has put liabillity insurance, only spelled correctly, back in place for sanctioned events. HOWEVER, we do not currently have any information on any insurance company willing to include traction kiting (buggies, kite surfing) coverage for events. We continue to search for such coverage, and for individualy supplemental liabillity coverage for our members. At the present moment, we have some leads on POSSIBLE coverage for individuals, and are still looking hard for a company to cover traction kiting events. If you have any good leads, please contact me at region4@aka.kite.org
Election news: We have two candidates for Regional Director -- Steve Cseplo and Mike Agner. Make sure yo vote early and vote often! ^_^ (Well, at least make sure you vote.)
My term will end at the AKA Convention in October, at which point the new RD will take over. I'll keep this site running through year's end, at least until we know who the new RD is and what his plans are -- if there's a new site set up somewhere else, I'll convert this mostly into a link to that site, so check here and update your bookmarks and favorite lists sometime in November/December.

Region 4 is basically the Southeastern United States (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee) and Puerto Rico. If you are looking for clubs, events or other info about kiting in the region, hopefully we have what you are looking for here!
