Bunny Photo Frame Fridgie

(This is our granddaughter, Q , in 1993)
Materials:
Small amount of worsted weight soft yarn in white and pink
Crochet hook size F
2 lucite ring
12 of 5/8 pastel colored satin ribbon
3 x 3 piece of lightweight cardboard or plastic (from a coffee can lid, etc.)
Magnet
Hot glue
Photo
Optional: Small sheet of laminate
Place the ring on the cardboard or plastic and trace around the outside of it.
Cut out this circle and set aside. Place the ring over the photo and center
the photo in the ring opening. Trace around the outside of the ring and cut
out photo. Glue photo to cardboard or plastic circle. Laminate, if desired.
Bunny
Round 1: With white work 36 sc around the ring; join with a sl st to the first
sc. Drop white yarn, but do not fasten off. Skip next 14 sc and *attach pink
with a sl st to the next sc, ch 9, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next
ch, dc in each of the next 4 chs, hdc in the next ch, sc in the next ch, sl st
in same st as joining. Fasten off pink.* Skip next 6 sc on ring, then repeat
from * to *.
Round 2: Pick up white, ch 1, sc in same st as joining and in next 14 sc, *sc
in st where pink is attached, sc in the base of each of the pink foundation
chains, ch 1, working down the other side of the ear, sc in each of the next
8 pink sts, sc in the st where pink is attached*, sc in each of the next 6 sc
on the ring, repeat from * to *, sc in each of the last 13 sc on the ring; join
with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Finishing
Hot glue the outer edge of the photo mounted on cardboard or plastic to the
back of the frame. Glue a 2 piece of magnet strip across the center of the
cardboard or plastic. Tie the ribbon into a bow and glue to the bottom front
of the frame as shown.
