Garden Soap

Hang this on your outdoor spigot for quick clean-up after gardening. The

nylon yarn really “scrubs” and holds up well in the weather!

Materials:

Needleloft 100% nylon (plastic canvas) yarn

Crochet hook size G

Bar of Lava soap

Ch 12

Round 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook, (ch 3, skip next ch, sc in the next ch)

5 times, ch 3, sc in the same st, (ch 3, skip next ch, sc in the next ch) 5

times, ch 1; join with as hdc in the first sc to form last loop. (12 ch-3 loops)

Round 2: (Ch 3, sc in the next ch-3 loop) 11 times, ch 1; join with as hdc in

the first sc to form last loop. (12 ch-3 loops)

Rounds 3-15: Repeat round 2. Fasten off.

Drawstring

Ch 150. Fasten off.

Finishing

Weave drawstring through loops of round 13; tie ends of drawstring

together securely. (To prevent fraying ends, pass the ends quickly through

a candle flame to melt. DO NOT let the yarn catch on fire!) Pull up two

drawstring “handles” (see illustration below.) Insert soap, pull the drawstring

closed and tie in an overhand knot to secure. Hang handles over outdoor

spigot.
