Lingerie Hanger With Removable Sachet

Materials:

Size 10 crochet cotton thread

Crochet hook size 6

Satin-covered padded wooden hanger

Two pearl buttons

Yarn needle

5/8” lucite ring

1/4” satin ribbon

Two 6” circles tulle

Potpourri

Hanger Cover (make 2)

Ch 6, join with a sl st to form ring

Round 1: Ch 5 to count as the first trc and the first ch 1; (trc, ch 1) 11

times in ring; join with a sl st to the 4th ch of the beginning ch 5. (12 trc)

Round 2: Sl st into the first ch 1 sp, ch 1, sc in the same sp, (ch 5, sc in the

next ch 1 sp) 11 times; ch 2, dc in the first sc to join. (12 loops)

Round 3: Ch 4 to count as the first dc and the first ch 1, dc in the same

loop, (dc, ch 1, dc) in each loop around; join with a sl st to the 3rd ch of the

beginning ch 4.

Rounds 4-31: (Repeat rounds 2 and 3) 14 times. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Finishing:

Insert each end of the hanger into one of the cover pieces; pull the cover

pieces together to meet in the center of the hanger; whip stitch the cover

pieces together. Sew a pearl button at the top of the hanger, 2” in from

either end.

Sachet (front)

Ch 6, join with a sl st to form ring

Round 1: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, 15 dc in ring; join with a sl st to the

top of the beginning ch 3. (16 dc)

Round 2: Ch 1, sc in the same st as joining, (ch 1, skip next dc, sc in the

next dc, ch 8, sc in the same st) 7 times; ch 1, sc in the same st as the first

sc, ch 4, trc in the first sc to join. (8 loops)

Round 3: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 7 more dc in the same loop

(around the post of the trc in round 2); sc in the next ch 1 sp (15 dc in the

next ch 8 loop, sc in the next ch 1 sp ) 7 times; 7 dc in the the first loop;

join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3.

Round 4: Ch 1, sc in the same st as joining, ch 3, sc in the same st; (ch 3,

skip next dc, sc in the next dc) 2 times, * skip next 6 dc, sc in the next dc,

(ch 3, skip next dc, sc in the next dc) 2 times, ch 3, sc in the same st, (ch

3, skip next dc, sc in the next dc)* Repeat from * to* 6 times; skip next 6

dc, sc in the next dc, ch 3, skip next dc, sc in the next dc, ch 3 join with a sl

st to the first sc.

Round 5: Sl st into the first ch 3 sp, ch 1, sc in the same sp, ch 3, sc in the

same sp; *ch 3, skip next ch 3 sp, yo, insert hook in the next ch 3 sp, yo,

pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook; yo, insert hook in next ch 3

sp, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook, yo and pull through

remaining 3 loops on hook; ch 3, skip next ch 3 sp, sc in the next ch 3 sp,

ch 3, sc in the same sp; Repeat from * to * 6 times; ch 3, skip next ch 3

sp, yo, insert hook in the next ch 3 sp, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2

loops on hook; yo, insert hook in next ch 3 sp, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull

through 2 loops on hook, yo and pull through remaining 3 loops on hook; ch

3, skip next ch 3 sp; join with a sl st to the first sc.

Round 6: Sl st into the first ch 3 sp, ch 1, sc in the same sp, (ch 5, sc in the

next ch 3 sp) 23 times; ch 2, dc in the first sc to join.

Round 7: Ch 1, sc in the same ch 5 sp, (ch 5, sc in the next ch 5 sp) 23

times; ch 2, dc in the first sc to join.

Round 8: Repeat round 7

Round 9: Ch 1, sc in the same ch 5 sp, ch 3, sc in the top of the last sc for

picot; *(dc, ch 3, sc in the top of the dc for picot) 5 times in the next ch 5

sp, (sc, ch 3, sc in the top of the last sc for picot) in the next ch 5 sp*

repeat from * to * 10 times; (dc, ch 3, sc in the top of the dc for picot) 5

times in the next ch 5 sp; join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off. Weave

in ends.

Sachet (back)

Work as for sachet front through round 8; ant the end of round 8 work 24 sc

around the lucite ring to form the hanging loop; join with a sl st to the first

sc of round 8. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Sachet assembly

Put the two tulle circles together, matching edges. Sandwich the tulle

circles between the front and back sachet pieces (right sides out). Thread

the yarn needle with the ribbon; weave the ribbon through round 8 of the

sachet pieces AND the tulle until the sachet is about 3/4 closed; stuff

potpourri between the tulle pieces; continue weaving the ribbon through

round 8 and the tulle pieces until the sachet is closed. Tie a bow in the

ribbon ends; trim.

The sachet can slip over the hook of the hanger through the lucite ring.
