off.

Place your pot in the center of the sling and pull up the corners. Each corner

should extend about 2” above the top of the pot when slightly stretched. If

you need to, add more rows in the established pattern, increasing the

number of (ch 3, sc in the next ch 3 sp) along the sides by one for each

additional row until you have the size you need. Do not fasten off.

First Hanger

Row 1: Ch 3, (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in the first corner ch 3 space, dc in the first

ch of the next ch 3 sp; ch 3, turn.

Row 2: (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in the next ch 3 sp, skip next 2 dc, dc in the top of

the turning ch; ch 3, turn.

Additional rows: Repeat row 2 until the hanger is the desired length. (I used

25 rows.) Fasten off.

Second Hanger

Attach yarn with a sl st in the last ch before the next corner. Work as for the

first hanger.

Third Hanger

Work as for the second hanger, but do not fasten off at the end of the last

row.

Edging

Sc around the outside of the entire piece, working 2 sc in each of the ch-3’s

(or dc’s) along the sides of the hangers, 2 sc in each of the unworked ch-3’s

on the last row of the sling, and 1 sc in each st along the top of each of the

hangers; join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Finishing

Thread yarn needle with a 3’ piece of “yarn”; securely sew the end of each

of the hangers to the 2” ring; continue wrapping “yarn” around ring to

completely cover. Knot and cut “yarn”. Optional: wrap yarn tightly around

hangers starting just below the ring and wrapping downward for about 2”.

Knot “yarn”. Weave in ends.
