Shamrock Fridgie or Jewelry

The yarn shamrock works well as a fridgie or pin

or tack one in the corner of an Aran Afghan as a gift for an Irish friend!

The small thread shamrock would make a nice scatter pin, earrings or even a tie tac.

Materials: Green worsted weight yarn and crochet hook size F or

green size 10 thread and crochet hook size 8

magnet or jewelry finding

Finished size: Yarn - about 2 1/2” across widest point

Thread - a little less than 1” across widest point

Ch 4, join with a sl st to form ring

Round 1: (Sc in ring, ch 4, sl st in the 4th ch from hook to form picot) 3

times, sc in ring; ch 8, insert hook in the 2nd ch from hook and draw up a

loop, (insert hook in the next ch and draw up a loop) 2 times, yo and pull

through all 4 remaining loops on hook, sl st in each of the next 4 ch’s; join

with a sl st to the first sc.

Round 2: *Sl st into the next picot, ch 2, (3 dc, sc, 3 dc, ch 2, sl st) all in

the same picot, sl st in the next sc* Repeat from * to * 2 times. Fasten off.

Weave in ends.

Finishing

Glue or sew magnet or jewelry finding to the back.
