These stories all concentrate on the J/C relationship in one way or another. Some are seriously meant, some are utterly silly--some started out one way and transmuted into the other. Many of these stories are deeply involved with the physical side of love. I've marked those that are not available on this site.

I have a long history with this poignant pairing. Initially I couldn't quite see it. Then the Cruise Director persuaded me to give it a try and I fell head over heels in love with love. Oh, the latent promise of that first season! For a couple of years my spirits rose and fell with a commercial TV show! That's over now--all love affairs cool eventually--but I still have these stories. I will forever be grateful for the inspiration.

War Story
Based on the episode "The Killing Game". Chakotay's playing a holodeck scenario as an American captain in occupied France. Problem is, his alien mental implant makes him believe he really is a WWII GI. While fighting to liberate Ste. Claire from Nazi domination, he meets up with the Resistance--and one unforgettable dame.

Slip of the Mind
Written October 1997. Janeway wakes up with a big surprise in her bed and no idea how he got there. What's happened to her memory--and her inhibitions? Humorous and romantic, with a few digs at "Mosaic". Runner-up for a Golden O award.

Existence
A script for an original episode. Chakotay leads a party to search for desperately needed minerals. He's successful, but when he emerges from the eerie, beautiful caves, Janeway and Voyager have vanished into the past...

The Cardassian Mask
Written 1995-1996. A full-length novel set at the end of Voyager's first season, featuring Seska. A roller-coaster adventure of lush romance and heartstopping action! My fanfic magnum opus, and damn, am I proud of it. :) Available as a print zine, lavishly illustrated.

First Officer (Poem)
Chakotay speaks in sonnet form. Published in Now Voyager.

Maquis (Poem)
Janeway's reply.

Revelations
Written May 1996. Closely based on "Resolutions", and taking place during it, this is a meditation on the relationship that Janeway and Chakotay developed while alone on New Earth, and a possible sequence of events during that period. Serious and romantic, with some humor. Published in Now Voyager.

The Snow Queen
Written November-December 1995. A novelette of seven chapters. Captured by primitive aliens, the captain, first officer, and pilot of Voyager must survive freezing conditions with no equipment--and no clothes. An adventure story with a strong tongue-in-cheek element and a highly sensual atmosphere. A popular favorite!

I Am Chakotay's Pillow
Just what the title implies! An unusual vantage point on the aftermath of "Resolutions". Another reader favorite.

Blowing Off Steam
Written February 1996. Janeway receives a gift of a holodeck program from Paris, and when she finally gets around to using it, Chakotay stumbles on a scene that has him all hot and bothered. Will the captain spot him in hiding before he can get some satisfaction? A lightweight romp with some commentary on the use of holodecks.

Five Minutes
Set at the end of "Deadlock". The ship is linked with an exact counterpart in a parallel universe. On that counterpart, two members of the Voyager family are dead. On this ship, Vidiians are aboard, harvesting the crew's body parts. Janeway has decided to arm the self-destruct system, but she sees a way to save something small out of the chaos. Published in Now Voyager.

The Notorious Rake
A very twisted variation on the J/C relationship, postulating an utterly uninhibited captain and an innocent first officer. Not for the sensitive, but blackly humorous and extremely sexy! A cult favorite.

The Best of All Possible Worlds
At the end of the third season, Janeway and Chakotay catch their breaths on the holodeck and talk about the prospects for their lives. Is it better to take imperfect reality as it is, or strive to change the universe? Published in Now Voyager.

Back Rub
An interlude overheard in the captain's ready room. She's been working too hard, but he's willing to lend a hand.

This Is The Captain Speaking
Written mid-1995. The entire crew of Voyager changes sex and must deal with the effects while attempting to find a solution. This is a bit strange :) but humorous. Enduringly popular!
