The Central New Jersey Pride Bowlers' League
began Tuesday, 9 Sep 2003 at 9:10 pm
at the Brunswick Edison Bowl-O-Mat,
1695 Oak Tree Road in Edison, New Jersey (right behind the Dairy Queen!)

Sam Delgado is our President. He has many years of bowling experience. He has also been a member of the International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO) for several years. Billy Graseck is our new Vice President. Mike Skubienski is our new Treasurer and Rich Chapleski is our Secretary. I, yours truly, Matt Cotton am your statistician and webmeister. We now have a Sergeant-at-Arms, too - his name is Billy Campbell. year, we had 42 bowlers on 14, 3-person teams. In our second year, we were 17 teams! In our third year, we grew to 20 teams, and last year, we had 30 teams. This year, we are back down to 24 teams, which is much more cozy and manageable!

The Fall League started on
Tuesday, 9 September 2003
Why not join us? Bowling begins at 9:15 pm, so arrive a little early to get settled and for practice time. We can always use subs, and especially at the beginning of the season, we find ourselves with a few permanent openings! We are a handicap league, so everyone from novices to veterans has an equal chance of doing well. We have weekly raffles as well as monthly birthday celebrations and a gala banquet and prizes at the end of the season.
Weekly fees are $14.00, and annual sanction fees are $14.00 (ABC)or (WIBC).
In addition, the Edison Bowl-O-Mat is one of the nicest bowling alley's I've seen in New Jersey. They have a snack bar as well as a cocktail bar with television, billiards and darts.

Many of us joined summer leagues, too, in order to keep in form. For example, a Zone Ball League at the Bowl-O-Mat runs on Wednesday nights for 17 weeks, and at the end each bowler receives two Brunswick Zone balls or a ball and bag. I've done this for four years and it's a lot of fun - not too competitive since everyone "wins"! Before that, I was using the "pumpkin" ball and it wasn't pretty!
Our latest Summer Social was on Saturday, 9 August 2003 - our annual Crazy Bowl and Garden BBQ! We met at the lanes by 2:00 pm and bowled a cosmic, 9-pin no-tap tournament, followed by a faaabulous garden bbq at the NEW home of Sam and Mark!

Our last summer outing was on on Saturday, August 4th 2001.
We met at the Bowl-O-Mat to bowl at 2:00, followed by a bar-b-que at the home of Sam and Mark. This was a Cosmic, 9-Pin No-Tap tournament, with fun lights, smoke and music, was a smashing success!
