The season of 1967 was intensely competitive. St Raphaels exchanged placements with Garfield Cadets,St Kevins, Blue Rock, St Rocco's, Toronto Optimists and the Hawthorne Muchachos early on, and battled with the Pittsfield Cavaliers, St Marys Cardinals, NY Kingsmen, IC Reveries, Bridgeport PAL Cadets, Milford Shoreliners and the St Paul Scouts & Madison Scouts at Nationals and in the final weeks of the campaign.
The Buccaneers 'defended' their fifth place Finals position at the Lynn MA based World Open Championship, and placed the highest of all the Connecticut junior entries in the American Legion Nationals at Boston.
