Hi everyone,
Well, just two days after participating in the "Ride for Silence" to honor those cyclists who have been killed by cars, Jackie Jordan was hit nearly head on by someone under the influence while commuting to work on Bike to Work Day this Friday morning at about 7:30am, just a few blocks from her house.

Although she's probably lucky to be alive, Jackie is in pretty bad shape and will have to have surgery to repair a broken hip. Her hip was fractured in at least 3 places and she'll be unable to do any vigorous activities for 3 months. Needless to say, she's in excruciating pain if she tries to move at all.

At this time she's scheduled to go in for surgery on Monday morning. She'll be at Overlake hospital over the weekend but will likely have to be moved to another hospital for the surgery.

I thought you might all want to know and I'm sure that Jackie would appreciate any support or anything you can do to cheer her up. Pray that her surgery goes well.

Skate rental back at Alki
You can now rent skates at the Alki crab and fish co. That's the same place you catch the water taxi.
Full sets of gear and helmets too.
And if your out of town friends don't skate you can rent a bike, or a boat, with or with out motor.
Or he can even take them on a Kayak tour out to the light house. Even if they have never been in a Kayak before.
Tell Gregg Tom sent you, I don't think it will save you any money, but he might buy me a cup of coffee.
