Welcome
Current Happenings; 3/23/99Over the past weekend we went to a large wrecking yard in Spokane WA. (Spaldings). Out of only three RV's there available for parting out, I managed to find six suitable windows for the bus. Next week I hope to take delivery of the metal I need to sheet in the sides where the old windows were and frame in the new ones. At this time I am still working on sealing in the front and rear caps, part of which is being held up by the metal delivery. I have a buddy working on that now, he is set up to make the sheet metal cuts to size and can get it to me at a greatly reduced rate. Definitely worth the wait, so stay tuned!4/14/99 The sheet metal is here! We are in the process of framing in the windows and riveting in the side panels. See Skinning page. 8/31/99 OK, I was a little delayed by the fence project and then the roof on my house had to be replaced. I have the front, rear and passenger side skinned in and I picked up the angle iron I needed to finish the drivers side. I found a new shower stall at a yard sale and a two way fridge that had been replaced with a conventional home model. Add $125.00 to service the $700.00 fridge, I had to replace its little computer brain, otherwise it seems to be working fine. 1/3/2000 Good news, so far my bus project seems to be Y2K compliant ! |
