Thank you Cmdr. I am very proud to accept this Award from you as well . I am also Proud to be it's 1st recipient . As with you , I try to make the WWW a more informative place . | I had never expected any thing like this while on vacation for a few weeks in the Florida keys . I have made many friends since I've entered the World of the Web , but I've not had the privilege to meet many of them . Over the course of Planning and actually going on Vacation from 6/7 - 6/22 , I had the Honor of Meeting 2 of the friends I have met while on the Net . Neil Golden , aka. Sgt. Pleiku ; in real life just happened to be the Night Auditor at the Resort we stayed at while in the Keys ! He had informed me of this through an e-mail the day before we started out on our trip ! Talk about a small world ! Neil is the Quartermaster of VFW Post # 10211 in Key Largo . Although we had only spent a short time together , I was sure Proud to Shake his hand . Thank you Neil for making My wife and I feel Welcome at your Post . The Photo above is that of the other friend I had the Honor of meeting . His name is Don Warshaw , and is the Commander of District 5 of the VFW as well as the Commander of VFW Post 461 in Perrine , Florida . In the Photo ( taken by my Wife ), Don is presenting me with a Certificate of appreciation for my efforts in pressing the issues on Veterans affairs through the Medium we call the WWW .
