William Gutierrez is an accomplished Native American flute player and maker. Born in New Mexico, he now
resides in McKinney, Texas. His heritage is that of Southern Ute and Dineh.
As a highly sought after featured performer, William travels extensively throughout the United States, Canada and beyond sharing his music and craft. He performs using a variety of Native American flutes that he hand crafts from red cedar and other exotic woods. Using traditional methods and measurements, his flutes possess a haunting and mystical sound which mesmerize his audiences. Both young and old alike are transported to a time in history rich in Native American culture.
William's performances consist of traditional songs taught to him by his brothers, sisters, and elders of various Indian tribes, as well as songs which he himself has composed. All are filled with the rich tradition of Native America.
As you listen to William's music, you will find that he has an extraordinary ability to convey an emotion found nowhere but in one's heart. His music and songs all contain messages which become clear and easily understood by all who allow it into their own heart.
William currently has four albums released. Three solo releases: "Calling The Eagle", "Eagle Canyon", and "Raven's Song, and one contribution album, "Tribal Winds". William has also composed and provided the sound tracks to several documentaries and videos including the documentary "Palo Duro Canyon" which has aired on the Discovery Channel and various PBS stations throughout the country. William is currently working on his fourth and fifth albums and hopes to have one or both released in the fall of 1998 and in the spring of 1999.

I am pleased to offer the following descriptions and price list for my flutes, music, and related items. My flutes are six hole Northern Plains/Lakota style, and are handmade using traditional measurements. I incorporate the use of a brass reed on my flutes, which enables the player to actually fine tune the flute, and with further adjustment, vary the tone from a hard crisp sound to a soft mellow sound. Most all of my flutes are made of traditional red cedar. However, I also offer my flutes made from hardwood and exotic woods, each producing it's own unique sound and appearance.
All flutes are signed with my logo, and are accompanied by an autographed legend, bottle of oil, acassette tape or CD, and a song booklet which gives the fingering patterns for eight traditional songs.
