Tuesday through Saturday 10 AM to 12 noon and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Closed Sundays, Mondays and Holidays.
The Museum and Genealogy library are free and open to the public. Donations gladly accepted.

Directions

Come and visit the Amherst County Museum & Historical Society in person. We are easily accessible from Virginia Routes 29 and 60

From Route 29 take your second Amherst exit (from the north or the south). At the end of the ramp turn right. Follow Route 60 to the traffic circle (less that 1/4 mile). Travel around the circle and head south on Business 29. This is South Main Street. The Museum is on the right about 1/4 mile down the road.
