Rose's naming of
Nikolai:
I aquired Niki on August 30, 2000. I wanted
another "Russian" name, it was a choice between Mikail and Nikolai... Niki
won out!
ABOUT NIKOLAI
Niki had a bumpy start. He had to be nursed
by a very cooperative Queen in the cattery :-)
He and his sister "Baby Girl" thrived
on her nutritional lactation, and as you can see have thrived. I was in search
for a playmate for Dimitri and heard from a good friend in Louisiana that
a friend of hers had two kittens available and would bring them to me to
see if I was interested in one of them. Brenda of Arcana Siberians brought
Niki and this adorable little fluffy baby with her.
I knew I wanted a male Siberian..., but
fell in LOVE with this little white/black spotted furball sister of his ALSO!
Being in the situation I am financially I HAD to make the decision between
the two and Nikolai won by a "HAIR".
LIKES AND DISLIKES
Niki seems to like everything..., but
he LOVES MEALTIME!! I cannot go NEAR their soft/moist food without him weaving
between my legs and begging prettily for some :-)
I usually give in as he's little and Dimi
helps out eating it all anyway. Niki is also the dominant one here. He fights
off the much larger Dimitri and even left his "mark" on him! Dimi just went
to the vet to check his "battle scars". Dimi is fine, but learned that Nikolai
is not to be taken lightly!!! (there is not ONE MARK on Niki!)
LATEST NEWS!
Niki and Dimi are now the best of friends.
Dimitri, the submissive one is now grooming Niki.
They watch out the window and play in their Cabitat
or their New Cat Tree very well together! Niki has also learned to be a very
good model for my obsessive photography sessions. He's a real
trooper!!!
