SubLyme News: The Book
SubLyme News is a well-dodgy little news-sheet distributed round five or six of the hostelries in Lyme Regis, on the coast of Dorset. In the pic above, that's Terry, alias Hoot, on the cover going: "Weeeee - I'm on the cover of SubLyme News: the Book!" Established at the end of 1994, it's been the subject of few exocet attacks, more than two solicitors' letters and even the occasional bit of fan mail! Honest, my mum says she loves me!
Christmas 1998 saw the publication of all the past issues in a book, including some new stuff. Altogether about 70 pages. We've only included a bit of the intro to the book and one page plus the cover here. If you want to find out more, send us a message by e-mail. The book costs a fiver, including postage and packing.
If you like The Book, it has been published by Alan Dearling in Lyme Regis. If you don't, or you are a solicitor, Alan can be contacted: C/o The Bahloo Tribe, PO Box 562, Byron Bay, 2481 NSW, Australia. @nti-copyright You can copy it, store it a retrieval system, your loo, or whatever you wish!
SubLyme News: The Book: The Intro bit This little book contains all the issues of SubLyme News from 1994 to 1998. That means that it includes all the typos, mis-spellings, wobbly photos and captions, plus a few extra bits thrown in for the general edification of all.
Here's the page for the 'LYME REGIS REAL MAN COMPETITION'. Lovely dresses and dressers. The prize: a Boy George Make-up book. Weee!
