Dear Members and Friends:
As health and retirement issues loom in the near future, we make the
following announcement. Since its initiation twelve years ago, RI ADDults
has serviced over 4000 adults and had over 12,000 visits to its web site as
well as thousands of telephone calls from all over the world to its
"Informational Hotline". The Rhode Island ADDUlt Support group is probably
the oldest continuously running group of its kind in the United States! In
order to preserve the future, beginning this year we have a new director and
dynamic facilitator who will bring enthusiastic professionalism to the
group. Our role will continue as Chairman of the Advisory Board and to
remain the Voice on the telephone Hot line, as well as make occasional
visits to the monthly meetings in order to continue a close relationship
with our long term friends. We wish to especially acknowledge our eternal
appreciation for our Secretary and Member of the Board of Advisors Maryanne
Rivet. From the first meeting in 1993, Maryanne has maintained the formal
structure of this organization with indefatigable efforts and without whom
we would never achieved this success.
Our new Director and facilitator is Victoria Ball,
M.Ed. Vicky is a licensed ADD Coach, a former career counselor at
Brown University, and consultant both for the Hallowell Group in Boston, and
the Center for NeuroPsychology here in Rhode Island. Vicky has been a strong
supporter of RI ADDults for many years and served often as its facilitator.
We wish her the greatest success and offer her our deepest appreciation.
Sincerely yours,
Austin Donnelly, M.Ed.
