The Best Animated Gifs

This site is my attempt to bring you a selection of "high quality" animation or what are considered animated gifs. I do not post every animated gif I find...rather, I select the ones that I feel people would actually consider using on their web pages.

Many animated gifs are categorized for easy selection, but many animated gifs have also been placed in "miscellaneous." I limited the number of animated gifs per viewing page for faster loading. Each animated gif is shown in it's original size. If you would like to reduce or compress the animated gif, save the animation to your hard drive by right clicking with your mouse and "save image as" (Netscape) or "save picture as" for (MS Explorer). Once saved to your hard drive you can use the Gif Wizard for compressing your gifs up to 90%.

Using too much animation on any one page is destracting and can cause excess loading times no matter how much you compress them. Keep your animated gifs spread out on your web site and always keep a handy supply on your hard drive in case of an emergency. I hope you find this site useful. I will continue to add animated gifs (assuming they are worthy) so bookmark this page and check back. Animation is going to stick around for a while.
