This quilt is made out of bridal satins, and represents tipis surrounding a body of water.  It was made for a auction for a water projects which helps make water available for disadvantaged people.  This quilt is hand quilted.

This quilt is made again out of bridal satins and is a warrior on his horse.  The center is machine embroidery with the star built around it.  It is machine quilted.

Lisa taught classes on the art of quilt making with a grant from the Council of the Arts of North Dakota (as the reservation is in both ND/SD). This is one of the quilts a student created.  It is made out of bridal satins and has a buffalo skull in the center of the star.  It is hand quilted. Lisa's son Willy had to get in the picture too!

Lisa also does different variations of the star quilt with intricate borders.  The colors on this picture are not quite right (too dark, should be more pastel southwest colors), but you can see the design elements involved.  This quilt was machine quilted.
