BackgroundEl Centro de Libertad was created by a group of individuals dedicated to sharing the gift of recovery throughout the community. We are a bilingual (Spanish/English) and bicultural agency. We provide services to all people and have a special outreach to the Hispanic/Latino community. Cultural differences, as well as the similarities, pertaining to recovery from addiction are explicity addressed.StaffThe staff is a team of highly trained professionals that provide a recovery program designed to meet the individual needs of clients and their families. We believe that our culturally diverse staff will meet the needs of the community. El Centro de Libertad staff is committed to ongoing training and continuing education to increase their knowledge and skills.Alcohol & Polydrug Outpatient ServicesGroups are designed to provide cognitive and behavioral restructuring and education associated with recovery and relapse work. Our program will begin with a client assessment, followed by an appropriate referral to one or more of our services: individual counseling, support and 12-step groups.Phase I: The Alcohol & Polydrug Education groups will inform participants about:
Latin ServicesOur sevices will be provided in Spanish for the Latin community. These programs will be culturally sensitive to the client's needs. Spanish speaking staff will always be available.HIV Testing & SupportHIV testing is confidential and anonymous. Support groups will be available in both Spanish and English.FeesFees are based on a sliding scale. No one seeking recovery will be turned away for lack of funds.Funded in part by San Mateo County Department of Alcohol and Drug recovery services.
