We are asking your help in locating Brandon. He was kidnapped on Jan 18, 1998 by his non-custodial father Chris.

Brandons Mother does not have a computer, so all of us are pitching in to get this message out onto the internet, in hopes that Brandown will soon be back in his mothers arms..

Here are the facts as I have directly verified them on May 1, 1998 with Detective Danielson.

Brandon lived with his mother in Portland Oregon.

Brandon's mother did allow visitation with Brandon. Chris was allowed supervised visitation with Brandon at Chris's mothers home (evidentally the courts felt there might be some need for him to be superivised while with Brandon).

Chris went to Chris's mother's home on Jan 18, 1998, drove off with Brandon and has not been seen since.

The car that Chris was driving has since been found abandoned. There are no clues as to what type of transportation they left the area in. Or if they had help.

Brandon Damon Michele Wendell was born on 12/22/94. He is 3 years old, male, white, weighs 30 to 45 pounds, is 2'6" tall and has green eyes. At the time Brandon was taken he had medium length red curly hair. He also had an ear tube at the time he was taken. Brandon has no nicknames and has always been refered to as Brandon.

Chris Damon Wendell was born on 11/30/70, is 27 years old, white, male, 5'8", 160 pds, hazel eyes and short brown hair with no facial hair at the time they disappeared. Chris has a small scar on his right hand.

On finances, Chris had been working as a clerk in a jewelry store and has no known skills to attain other types of work. The best estimates are that unless he has help, he has little or no money and no car. If this is accurate then there is a high probability that he has taken Brandon to live in very substandard conditions. There could be concerns if Brandon were to need medical care, and the ability of Brandon being able to go to school, etc... Needless to say, no child deserves to live under these types of conditions.

There is one "remote" possibilty, but due to finances, etc.. we feel it is unlikely that Brandon and Chris may be in Scotland. It seems unlikely. I only mention it here because Chris did possess passports that were over three years old for Scotland. According to Detective Danielson they have already verified that if you traveling out of the U.S. there is no record kept of people using a US passport. So it is inknown if they left the country, but they belive due to lack of finances that it is likely Chris has remained in the U.S.

We are suggesting that the search be left wide open. Don't think that Brandon could not be near you. As we have found in regard to helping to find another child, Sam, that there were often people on this mailing list within ten miles of the missing child. Some of those people, while helping as much as possible, assumed the child was somewhere else. So please, assume there is a chance that Brandon could be near you.

There are many websites for Brandon... all over the web and we are preparing a banner with Brandons Picture to send out to all of you to add to your websites. Don't write, I promise, we will send it as soon as it is prepared.

Sprottn @aol.com created a temporary banner (Brandon.gif) that is attached to this email so that every one can simply hit the download key and see pictures of Brandon (less than a minute to download). Unfortunately the file type does not allow us to make a good clear banner, so Detective Danielson is snail mailing us pictures of Brandon today to use in creating a banner with a better picture. Please do not write to ask for the banner. The minute it is ready, it will be sent out to everyone that reads this letter.

If you have a website, and you would like to put this banner on your website, download this banner, open your website on your computer, put the cursor where you want the banner and select import. Your software will automatically copy the banner to your website. When the new banner arrives simply delete this banner and import the new one.

Chris is wanted on the following charges:

I also want to say that I think Detective Danielson, the local police and the FBI are doing a wonderful job. He knew the answer to every question, had covered every possibility that I could think of, and so please let them do their jobs without every one of us calling them with questions.

Everything on this letter has been personally verified on May 1, 1998 via telephone with Detective Danielson who is in charge of this case, by myself and Sprottn. These are all the known facts.

I also asked several very hard questions because I believe in doing what is right for a child. So I asked the detective-in-charge, "Do you personally feel Brandon is better off if he is found and returned home?" (and I did ask all the possibilities). Detective Danielson said that he felt Brandon would be much better off at home with his mother.
