Summer Day in Wales

Take a trip to the great northwest and visit with the Kingikmiut's of Wales, Alaska.
Familys that still live on ancestral lands that date back to around 600bc. See for miles in all directions even across the Bering Straits, and all the way to Russia.
We are located only 60 miles from the Russian coast line.

Birds of all type migrate back and forth over Wales all summer long. We also have a large population of Marine Mammals that migrate the Bering Straits.
Along with Alaska Brown Bear and Reindeer, Muskox as well as Moose.

Little Diomede Island USA

This is Little Diomede Island and is the closest land to Russia belonging to the USA, and only 1mile away from Russia's Big Diomede Island.

The Winters provide ice and snow for long distance travel, but it is quite cold and not for the fant of heart.
Now the Spring and Summer's are a world of 24 hour days and much to see and do. The weather is much more bearable for most people.
