Eveline Hukill, 1855-1895
(Mrs. Henry Griffith)

Eveline was 19 when she married Henry M. Griffith. Over the next 20 years she bore Henry nine children, including a set of twins. Two babies died young. When Eveline died at 39, her youngest child was three years old.

Eveline was the daughter of Henry Harrison Hukill, who was the son of Rachel Copeland and Judge Henry Brevard Hukill, Circuit Court Judge of Ripley Co., IN.

Eveline and husband Henry had seven children survive to maturity. Of those seven, only two had children: Harry and Bernice. Thru those two children, Eveline and Henry had six grandchildren: Harry, Eunice, Roy, Miles, Max, and Bruce.

Of those six grandchildren, four had children. The dozen great-grandchildren of Eveline and Henry are Marylyn (b. 1941), Roy Jr. ("Skip," b. 1945), Alice (b. 1950), Jesse (b. 1955), Dale Lester (b. 1959), Rex (b. 1964), Mary Frances (b. 1944), Tom (b. 1948), Fern (b. 1951), Laura (b. 1954), John (b. 1959), and Robb (b. 1968).
