William Spencer O'Neal
and Melinda Grimes

William Spencer O'Neal was one of five children from John "Jackie" O'Neal's second of three marriages. The father (John "Jackie" O'Neal) has been established as a Patriot by the Daughters of the American Revolution; he served from Virginia and was the son of Constantine O'Neal. Jackie was born in Ireland and died at Plum Run, Bardstown, Nelson Co., KY; his will was dated 11 Sep 1822 and proved 11 Jun 1832 Nelson Co., KY; he was a Baptist. There is a non-published genealogy that was done on this family in recent years; currently it circulates only by one distant cousin making photo copies for another distant cousin.
