Yuuko Hayashi (Gara)

Love: Mikami
Occupation: Photographer
Appearance: Volume 1, 5, and 6 only
She's the photographer of a music magazine and mother of Kanon. She's bold enough to do something and accept responsibility for it, especially in love. Mikami knows her as Gara instead of her real name----Yuuko. After she got pregnant, she moved to Mongolia and raised Kanon all by herself.
Yumiko Yamamoto
Meaning: "Yumi-" means archery/bow; "-ko" means child or a suffix for woman's given name; "Yama-" means mountain; "-moto" means base/origin.

Love: Her husband----Mr. Yamamoto (who never shows up in the story)
Appearance: She only appears at the end of volume 1
She is the younger sister of Yuuko and the aunt of Kanon. Yumiko doesn't like her sister because she blamed Yuuko for giving so much trouble to her ever since she has married a rich family. Everyone in her husband's family looked down on her just because of Yuuko's news of the guys. She came from Hokkaido to Tokyo to see Kanon and to show her the pictures of three guys----Kouki Saw, Sachio Kajiwara, and Kent Gregory----who might be the possibilities of Kanon's father.
Kouki Saw/Masaki Saw
Age: around 44 (his older brother----Kouki----was 26 when he met Yuuko)
Love: ?
Occupation: Violinist (Kouki is also a violinist)
Appearance: Volume 2 and 3 only
Kouki/Masaki is the first possibility of Kanon's father. He joins the mafia and uses his older brother's name----Kouki----(Masaki's older brother is a famous violinist, and it is Kouki who met Yuuko) to earn money. Masaki is impersonating Kouki, but later Mikami finds out his secret.
Sachio Kajiwara
Age: around 41 (age 23 when he met Yuuko)
Love: Mikami
Occupation: Pianist
Appearance: Volume 1 (pictures on the magazine), 3, and 4 only
Sachio is the second suspect of Kanon's father. He is homosexual, and he's deeply in love with Mikami. He confessed to Mikami when Mikami is 14, but Mikami rejected and yelled at Sachio because he's not interested in guys. Sachio was quite upset about this.
Kent Gregory
Age: around 51 (age 33 when he met Yuuko)
Love: Yuuko
Occupation: Pianist, later turns to be a conductor at his middle 30's
Appearance: Volume 1 (pictures on the magazine), 4, and 5 only
Kent Gregory is half-American and half-Japanese. He's the third possibility of Kanon's father. He's lonely and childless. When Mikami asked him to see Kanon, he lied to Kanon that he is her father because he's deeply in love with Yuuko, knowing that Kanon is Yuuko's daughter. Before he died, he wrote a note to Kanon telling her that her real father is someone else, and he feels sorry for Kanon for lying to her. He regreted that he did not ask Yuuko to marry him before it's too late....
Baroness von Rowe
Age: ? (she's about 40)
Love: Mikami
Husband: The Count of Vienna
Appearance: Volume 2, 4, and 5 only
Her family is very well known and number one in the music industry around the world. Even though she loves Mikami, but she lets her daughter----Maria----to marry Mikami, so that Mikami can be part of her family. And that will help to raise the fame of Mikami over the world.
Maria
Age: 21
Love: Mikami
Husband: Mikami
Appearance: Volume 4 and 6 only
Maria is a very beautiful, but weak and ill Austrian lady. She lived in the hospital before she marries Mikami. She knows that her mother also loves Mikami, and their unusual relationship, that makes Maria very upset.
Professor Hojyou
Age: ? (she looks about 30 years old)
Love: Mikami
Occupation: Music Professor at M Educational Academy
Appearance: Volume 1 to 4 only
She is the professor of M Educational Academy and one of the lovers of Mikami. She knows Mikami has a fiancee, but still she's in love with Mikami. Just a while before Mikami's wedding with Maria, she knows that she has to leave Mikami. And it is Professor Hojyou who told Kanon that Kanon is the girl who might be able to change Mikami's cold heart and make Mikami love her.
Christina
Occupation: Prostitute???
Appearance: Volume 6 only
Christina is not really a prostitute, she just go to the bar and ask the guys to go out with her. But before she goes to bed with the guys, she takes their money and runs away. The same thing happens when Kanon arrives Thailand. But this time Christina is not in good shape, she's caught by the guy. When the guy tries to rape her at the beach, Kanon arrives and rescues Christina. So Christina offers Kanon a place to live. Christina doesn't know Kanon's real name, she calls Kanon "Cherry."
Shimon
Age: about 14
Occupation: Student of Sachio
Appearance: Volume 3 and 4
He is one of Sachio Kajiwara's students. Like Sachio, he's also homosexual. He loves Sachio but keeps the secret in his heart. Shimon freed Kanon and Mikami from Sachio's house and killed Sachio because of his jealousy. He cannot stand his teacher hugging and kissing another man anymore.
Mr. Akiyoshi
Occupation: He works for the television company
He works for Maichou Terebi. And he's the one who introduced Mikami to Tendou.
Ms. Ariyoshi
Occupation: Manager
She is Tendou's manager in the music company. She always helps Tendou with his career, such as getting jobs. She also helped Kanon to get an ID when Kanon first came to Japan.
