Genealogy
The majority of our ancestors have lived in the
US since the early 1700's. We've managed to collect a fairly respectable
genealogy ... and are always looking to add more. We're particularly interested
in the genealogy of anyone who uses (or who has ever used) the surnameLEMERY.

Languages, Linguistics, &
International Cultures
We're active in our local Friendship
Force (a foreign exchange program for adults), several local Deaf
clubs, and the ASLTA (American
Sign Language Teachers Association).
Some of our favorite languages include Spanish,
ASL
(American Sign Language), Danish, Chinese. And, unlike many
native speakers of English, we are opposed to legislation which would make
the US even more mono-lingual and lingua-phobic.

Writing
When Alysse isn't teaching, she's writing. To date she's
published four romance novels (with world-wide distribution). She's
been teaching Creative Writing for Lake Sumter Community College in Leesburg,
FL since 1985. In addition, Alysse has been an Editorial Assistant
(Correspondence Instructor) at the Writers Digest School since 1987.
She is active in several writing organizations. If you'd like to

Now that we're into Internet pages, you may as

Dan's shy and quiet -- except when he's on IRC
chat :-). Dan's also quite good at what he does (just look at all
this internet stuff). Alysse (that's me) may do the writing, but
Dan's the one who works out the bugs and sets up the htmls. Whenever
I get stuck with a problem, I get Dan to figure it out. It's either
that or use my 3 favorite keys: Control, Alt, Delete!

... greatest husband in the world (& I still believe it after 28 years!).
Here we are on our 25th.
Our Home:
the front lawn's not near so grand as it looks, but the live oak out front
is gorgeous! We'd been looking for a long time before we found this
place. It doesn't look all that large on the outside, but inside,
it just the opposite, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a combination living room/dining
room with wood floors throughout. Dan built and installed the fireplace
himself -- even down to the trim.
