Florida Information Resource Network
Florida Information Resource Network (FIRN) is an extensive network  which electronically links all of Florida's public education entities to computing resources which serve public education (including the Department of Education & Instructional & Administrative Resources pages).  Teachers can get free email accounts (so there's no excuse not to be online! :)

Modern Languages Association
The MLA promotes the study and teaching of language and literature.  The MLA is the parent organization for the ACTFL.

National Council For Languages And International Studies
The member organizations of NCLIS-JNCL are united in their belief that all Americans must have the opportunity to learn and use English and at least one other language.

Southern Conference on Language Teaching
SCOLT is one of five regional affiliates of the ACTFL.  Proposal deadlines are always 15-APR of the preceding year.

Not exactly an "organization", Dorothy Hesson's HomePage has a wealth of useful "curriculum oriented" links!  My personal favorite (from her site) is:  Instructional Technology Resource Center Workshop Materials.  It's not 100% accessible, but it shows which workshops to keep an eye out for :)

Other Teacher Stuff

These are links to other articles & sites which may be of use to foreign language teachers.  Some of them are here on this web site (Dan & Alysse's Homepage); many are at other locations.  Enjoy!

Don't be afraid to dig around.  A lot of sites say they are in a foreign language ... but once you get in, they offer you an "English version" choice.  More importantly, when you dig deep, you find great things ... ie, I came across a Danish site that had terrific Japanese art links!

Also, be sure and check out my Student Links ... there's a tremendous amount of cross-over information, since what they're trying to learn is what we're trying to teach!  :)

Internet Resources for Language Teachers
All sorts of neat stuff to look at, use, and pass along!

Language Learning Strategies and Study Tips
Tips on becoming a more efficient foreign language student.

Ñanduti
K-8 foreign language learning resource.

Pedia ... All the Sites about Secondary Education we know.
Secondary School links.  They have more sites than you can shake a stick at, but it's worth putting on your high waders and working your way through it :)

What Every Foreign Language Teacher Needs To Know
Basic (but fun!) stuff that will help you & your students understand how languages begin, grow, & die -- as well as how students learn
