Enrollment
Enrollment is limited
to a maximum of sixteen [16] participants for the Musical Theater Intensive
program.
Participants must be
at least eighteen years of age
by June 22, 2007.
Please note: Under special
circumstances, participants under age
eighteen have been accepted if accompanied by an adult guardian for the
duration
of the program. Specific information regarding chaparone
responsibilities and expenses is available by contacting us directly by
phone at (212) 262-5200.

After
submitting their application, applicants will be informed of acceptance
by phone, fax, or email.
Participants will be accepted into the program
on a rolling basis until the class is filled. Once the class
roster is filled, a Waiting List will be maintained should accepted
participants withdraw from the program prior to the start of the class
on June 22nd. Priority will be given to scholarship applications
made prior to March 25th, 2007. Scholarship applications
submitted after March 25th will be considered should funding become
available.
The American
Singer
Seminars - Musical Theater Intensive class is assembled in the manner
of an ensemble cast. Beyond the basic abilities of each applicant, the
chemistry of the class ensemble is taken into consideration when making
the final determination of acceptance into the program.

Live
Auditions
For
live auditions, applicants must prepare at least three selections of
varied style, all in English, and at least two of them must be from a
musical theater work. Applicants are also asked to bring a photo,
preferably 8"x10", a
typed resume to the audition. Auditions will not
be scheduled without advance payment of the application fee [$45].

If applicant is unable to attend one of the live
auditions, a taped audition will be accepted.
Taped auditions
(DVD, VHS or CD) Audition tapes must be accompanied by a
brief
letter stating why applicant wishes to be considered. Also required is
a letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach or other musical
theater
professional.

Program
tuition, housing, and
fees total $1850.00. A $45.00 non-refundable audition fee [not
credited toward tuition fee] must
accompany
the application. A deposit of FIFTY PERCENT ($925.00) is due upon
acceptance
into the program to hold a place in the class. The balance of the
tuition/housing fee is due upon registration in Breckenridge on June
22nd, 2007.
Tuition fee
includes accommodations (double occupancy), all
private lessons, master classes and coaching sessions. Special
attractions and excursions are also included.
Participants travel and meals are not
included in fees.
Full kitchen facilities are provided in each condo unit at Beaver Run
Resort. A modest cleaning charge will be assessed by Beaver
Run. Depending upon the extent of servies requested, the fee is
generally under $50 per participant.
