Ann Zeise

I seem to have so many projects going that I never stop to get it all down in one place. I wind up trying to tell folks what I'm up to these days. This page is to link my activities and interests, for all my friends and relatives, so that we might have Mind Storms together and build an even better world.

Go Milpitas!

Your portal to web sites of interest in Silicon Valley & Milpitas, CA

When it came to my attention that the only two web sites being built for Milpitas were City Hall's and an online copy of the directory, I said to my friends, "We need an online community!" Got to have interaction and communication. Stir things up a bit. So I'm constantly updating and expanding this site, hoping to have a link to every site in Milpitas that's at all interesting.

Need to find a local movie? Know the weather in Milpitas? Looking for something fun to do or just want to peek in some of the businesses around here, maybe find a better job in Silicon Valley. I know the town and I know the web. That's what make the Milpitas Community Web Site something special. My gift to the city. Enjoy!

I search the web for the best pages about homeschooling for you, and write weekly features about aspects of this lifestyle to share and guide you through.
 Mind Models Reality

A to Z
Home's Cool

Lots of models are needed for a child to understand complicated concepts. As a "unschooling" homeschool family, we spend lots of time getting hands-on experience. So I've created a Bay Area homeschooling website for our friends and families.

Internet Genesis has graciously provided the extremely fast server for both the Milpitas and the Homeschooling site.

UC Santa Cruz

I was a member of the pioneer class at UC Santa Cruz. Started when student dorms were trailers on the Field House field back in 1965. The Field House, Nat Sci 1, and the administration building next to the library were the only permanent buildings up. Well, the old barns near the entrance were there, but not remodeled yet.

Went to my 30 year reunion recently. Click here to see how "Ann Peterson (Zeise)" looked like at age 17 and at the reunion on April 17, 1999. I'm the second photo in the set. The photos from a 1965 UCSC directory were used for our nametags so we could figure out who was who.

For the last several years I've been on the steering committee for the Silicon Valley Alumni Association. Not sure what is going to happen to it with Heather leaving as chair. If you want information about the Alumni group in your area, contact UCSC Alumni Assoc. , Santa Cruz, CA, Alumni Office, 800-933-SLUG, Email: alumni@ua.ucsc.edu

Head-Royce Alumni Council

I have volunteered to assist my old high school on the Alumni Council. I was appointed in September 1997. If you went to Head-Royce, and can help contribute something you wrote or have any scanned photos, email me.

Sites of Relatives

My daughter, Sara Dodge Ellsworth, graduated from Milpitas High School, went on for a degree in Communications and Sociology at UC Santa Barbara, worked as a Product Manager for Big Dogs Sportswear in Santa Barbara, CA. She is married to Sterling Ellsworth, CPA, who has his own web page with some family photos buried in there. And now we also have Gavin, our grandson,
