At Andaka-Zederland, we believe in a sound mind in a beautiful body. All of the Andaka-Zederland breeding stock are champion sired, have OFA certified hips and have proven themselves worthy of being bred by virtue of their accomplishments. We examine the pedigrees of prospective studs searching for OFA hips, champions, and obedience titles. We also look for dogs with impeccable temperaments, willingness to please, and strong ball drive as this makes for puppies that are easier to train. |

The Andaka-Zederland breeding program is based on two influential stud dogs. The first, 4x Sel. Ch. Stuttgart's Sundance Kid ROM OFA (Hips and Elbows), is the sire of 78 champions, including our own Ch. Andaka's Kahla of Zederland CD OFA. The second is Ch. Kubistraum's Kane ROM OFA, sire of 38 champions.
We chose to blend these two pedigrees because they complement each others strengths. Sundance Kid was a large, stallion-type male, producing substance and movement. Kane was a smaller, dark dog, that added elegance of type to the program. This combination has produced champions for many kennels across the country, as well as our own breeding program.
When we add dogs to the program, whether we are choosing a stud dog or buying a bitch, we look for these dogs in the pedigree. The type dog we like generally is already linebred on them and is easily incorporated into our breeding plan.

To us, our motto is not just words, but a philosophy. In our 30+ years of breeding, showing, and training, we have had many champion, champion-pointed, and performance (obedience, herding, agility) titled dogs.
