John's Favorite Biscuit and Pancake Recipes John and Dixie's Family Photographs

Our PagesThis page begins the picture pages for my family and friends and of our trips as a retired couple at the turn of the century. Dixie and I are shown in the picture above having lunch at a lobster dinner restaurant in Prince Edward Island, Canada in the summer of 2000. Click on any of the links in the box on the left to see the pictures and read about that part of our trip. We hope our children, their and our friends can take advantage of these to enjoy some of the rest of the world as we have. About the PicturesThe pictures are of two kinds. Digital pictures taken with an Olympus C2020Z, 2.1 Megapixels, f2.0 generally without flash; or scanned in using a Logitec PageScan Color Pro scanner at 100 dpi from 4 x 6 glossy color prints. These pictures are taken generally with flash and using an Olympus Stylus Zoom camera with an f2.8 lens and 35 to 80 zoom lens. In all cases the exposure is automatically automaticly adjusted by the camera. Digital pictures in general are taken with a screen resolution of 640 x 480 because they are intended to be posted on the net. Some family pictures are taken at the higher image quality where photo quality prints are expected to be made from the better pictures. Images are all JPEG format as saved in the camera and, consequently, are slightly degraded in the processing to JPEG images of smaller size for these pages. The camera will take fewer pictures at higher resolutions and that is not needed for the purpose of these pages. Images have been cropped and reduced by 50% or more for publication on these pages. I have experimented with color enhancement, but most are as found without any enhancement at all. If the pictures are adjusted, that is noted in the page description or in the ALT image callout.
