Leadsheet Beta 0.5
(formerly known as "Chord Convertor")

1. What this programme is supposed to do

    - it converts the song files from Band-in-a-Box (.sg*- and .mg*-files) into the Finale 97/98 ETF-format.

2. What you need:

- Leadsheet Beta 0.5 (Download)

- Visual Basic Drivers (Download)

- Finale 97/98(earlier versions are not supported) Finale Homepage

- Band-in-a-Box songs (Download from http://www.telapex.com/~charlieg/biab.htm
                                                              http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Amphitheatre/2838/
                                                              http://www.geocities.com/BourbonStreet/Delta/1030/Songlist.html)

3. Some information on the programme

The programme is still a beta version. So...:

- there are still some BiaB-files that are not recognized

- the ETF-format is not the standard Finale format. So it takes some time for Finale to read the file...
This can take up to 30 seconds (on my Pentium-I-200Mhz).
After the loading process you should save the score in the standard .mus-format. This will speed up the loading process the next time.

- I tested the programme on PCs only. But it should also work on a MAC in a Windows environment. The ETF-format can be read by Finale/MAC and Finale/PC.
