It is also our mission to alter inhumane techniques used by federal and state wildlife management agencies by establishing a cooperative and ongoing communication group comprised of citizens of Virginia, federal, state and county governments, and animal protection organizations; the final goal resulting in a combined effort to protect wildlife using humane, non-lethal philosophies.

PETITION: STOP THE SLAUGHTERING OF CANADA GEESE IN VA.

We, the undersigned, demand a new and ethical treatment for wildlife. We are outraged by the massive round-up and brutal slaughters of over 1548 Canada Geese in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties from mid-June to mid-July, 1997. The USDA-Wildlife Services (formerly Animal Damage Control), and the Virginia Department of Agriculure has conducted brutal killings and are responsible for ensuring the national trend of massive killings of wildlife. The State and Federal government has misused our tax dollars, and set a social injustice by feeding contaminated goose flesh to the needy.
