On October 21st, 2000, my sweet Ruthie went on home to be with Jesus. She has suffered for 10 years with diabetes, heart failure, kidney infection, and over the part 3+ years she has dealt with her foot infection, and heal replacement. For the past 4 months or so her thyroid had quit working. Many, many friends have been praying for recovery and comfort, well, she is healed, AMEN! I knew that time was getting short but I thought we had a few more months together. God’s time is seldom our time and I had 10 years to get prepared for the day, but still I wasn’t ready. Ruthie loved Jesus with her whole heart and she was saved. In spite of her failing health, she was always an encouragment to others and she was always there for me and our girls LeLe and Dino. She always did the best she could for them and I thank God for her being there for them. She has been my lifeline for more than 30 years and I miss her very much. Until you lose your mate, you will never know the hurt and loneliness and heavy heart of carrying on without your better half. PLEASE, friends listen to me.....NEVER take your loved one for granted, NEVER go to bed angry with one another, NEVER leave without a kiss and a hug,. ALWAYS tell the one you love that you love them, ALWAYS listen, ALWAYS care, ALWAYS forgive and ALWAYS be there when you are needed. Ruthie was always there for me, and I will forever be.... a better man because of her, AMEN!  Sing with Ruthie and me.....OH, HOW I LOVE JESUS, BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED ME.
