Introduction

|
 |
Hi. My name is Mickey. I’m a Smooth Fox Terrier.
I’m a little devil. My mom and dad love me lots but I can tell they get
pretty mad at me sometimes. Like when I stand in the back yard and bark
my fool head off. They don’t know I’m "on patrol". That's why they call
me a Fox Terror.
But I love my mom and dad and do silly things to make them laugh. My
favorite thing is to run like a lunatic through the house. Whenever I
do that, they call me Terrio Andretti. Then my mom sits on the
floor with her legs up on the wall so I can jump over her when I run by.
It’s fun. I like it.
BTW, I’m not a Jack Russell. Lots of people think so. They think I look
like Milo from The Mask. But I’m not; I’m way cuter than Milo.

The RCA
Dog
|
| Actually, a Smooth Fox mix was the original RCA Dog. Check out
Nipperscape
for more information. Notice the quote "His Master's Breath"... I do that
to my masters too. I get right up in their face and smell their breath -
I want to know what snacks they've been eating without me!!!
I'm really a "very precious little boy" - that's what my Mom and Dad
say to me all the time. I guess I am.

My Vitals
|
I was born on March 2, 1995 in Campbell, CA. Now, I live in
Mountain View with my mom and dad. I used to live with two cats, but they're
both gone now. Spike was all black and weighed almost as much as me. (I
weigh 25 pounds. I'm pretty big for a Fox!). Poor old Spike got cancer
and he had to go to the Rainbow Bridge to keep CJ company. CJ was our
other cat. My mom had her for years and years, before she met my Dad even!
She was pretty old and had trouble getting around. One day she disappeared
and my mom cried a lot. I think something sad happened to her. My mom
hugged me a lot that day. I miss chasing them around the house..

My
Favorite Things |
- Squirrels !!!
- Snacks
- Walkies
- Watching TV – I especially like to catch Eddie
starring in Frasier and of course Wishbone.
I know, they're Jack Russells but that's OK.
- The Dog Park – My mom and dad think that if they say "Og-Day Ark-Pay",
I won't know what they're talking about.
- Going to Stanford Shopping
Center. They like dogs there and even let me go into Bloomingdale's
and Macy's. The Lancôme ladies always make over me and tell me
how cute I am.
- The Los Altos Pet Parade. Mom puts a costume on me and parades me
up and down Main Street. I like to strut my stuff. This time I wore
a Hawaiian shirt and a lei. Very tropical!!
- Singing Happy Birthday! Yes, it's very weird. Whenever I hear the
Happy Birthday song, I just have to sing along. Sometimes I hear it
on TV, sometimes my Mom sings it to me. But I can't help it. I have
to join in.

My
Favorite Nicknames |
- Pooter – Well, let's not go into that.
- Schmickers – Just plain silly if you
ask me.
- Bedbug – Cuz I like to worm under the
covers when it gets cold.
- Señor Long Nose – I do believe
they're making fun of me.
- Sir Grunts-a-Lot – I love back rubs.
- Evander (as in Holyfield) – OK, so that
lab got a piece of my ear. It was a cheap shot.
- Bat Boy - I can't help it if my ears
stick up straight when I face into the wind.
- His Honor, The Mayor of Pooterville -
By far the dumbest thing they call me, but boy do they laugh when they
call me that.
- Lumpity Lumps
- OK, so I got this little fatty deposit on my back leg. No reason to
make fun of me. Actually, the lump turned out to be cancerous. Check
out the latest in his cancer update.

My
Favorite Book |
|
|
My Dog Skip by Willie Morris: it's all about the Smooth
Fox Terrier he grew up with. You can read
a review here.
They're making a movie out of the book but can you believe it,
they're using a Jack Russell
to play Skip. Now is that the most stupid thing you've ever heard!?!?!
I just don't understand humans.

Assisted Therapy Services

2006 Update
I'm a therapy dog now!!! Yes sir, my Mom signed me up with Furry
Friends here in the SF Bay Area. We visit people who cannot, for
many different reasons, have pets of their own.
We visit two different places every month. In one place, the people
are very sick and most of them can't even get out of bed. Some of
them can't talk to me. But their hands are just as soft when they
pet me. Heck, who cares if they can't say my name. The other place
we go is full of wonderful people, mostly ladies, who coo and fawn
all over me. Sometimes I sing Happy Birthday to them and they laugh
and laugh.
If you'd like your people to share your love and affection, go
here: http://www.furryfriends.org/
and tell them Mickey sent you!
