    In the morality plays of  the late Middle Ages, the chief vices that humans are prone to were played by actors.  It is in the stylized, symbolic approach of the Commedia Del Arte  from which  was drawn  the inspiration to restore these seven outrageous characters to life in a series of stone wall plaques.
