is to educate about HIV/AIDS infection and to provide hope, support, advocacy and resources for women and men of all Asian Pacific Islander communities, persons living with HIV, their families and loved ones.

APAIT emphasizes the importance and availability of HIV testing, early intervention and treatment for HIV-related diseases.

The project is designed to be culturally and linguistically appropriate for the Asian and Pacific Islander communities targeting Cambodian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Pilipino, Samoan, South Asian(Gujerati, Hindi and Urdu traditions), Thai Tongan and Vietnamese - including populations of gay/bisexual men, youth, women and transgender persons.

APAIT maintains linkages with test and medical treatment sites, larger HIV/AIDS service providers and community based organizations to ensure that outreach is based upon current information and the rapidly evolving demographics of the greater Los Angeles area.
