On 17 August, 1183 , ex Emperor Go-Shirakawa re-entered Kyoto escorted by Minamoto Yoshinaka and Minamoto Yukiie.  For the first time since 1160 a Minamoto army had entered the capital in triumph .

TO SERVE IS THE WAY OF THE SAMURAI !  Congratulations Genji, Since last year we have dedicated 300 hours of Volunteer service to Craig Spinal and Brain Injury Hospital.  This from Official records...  Well done, THIS is the true spirit !  Clan Genji was already involved in Craig Hospital when the Columbine school shooting took place. Our members assisted with media, staff and patients from this dishonorable act.  The director wished me to pass on her thanks.
