Model L Diamond Hones

The Model L hones come in super fine, fine, medium and course, to handle all hand honing operations, from cutting tool honing to the finishing of heat-treated tools and molds. The Model Lf (fine) with the red handle is the one most mechanics start with. It cutting in two modes, if you press it cuts quickly, when you ease off it polishes. A super hone for applying the corner radius to end mills of both carbide and high speed steel. These hones are priced so that even an apprentice can afford to have one in his toolbox.

Diamond Lapping Plate

The Model 151f is an 8" X 8" Diamond lapping plate. When you lap a part on a plate where the Diamond is held in place, every pass removes a consistent amount of stock. This plate also works in two modes, when you press, stock is aggressively removed, ease up and it polishes the part.

Diamond Wheels

The design of these wheels allows the grinding of Carbide, Ceramic and High Speed Steel with no damage to the wheels. The Diamond face wheel (Model DFW) is approximately 2 1/2" with an approximate 9/32" of Diamond concentration. We have adapted this wheel to the sharpening of 3/8" Carbide and High Speed Lathe tool bits. We took a small blower motor, some 1/2" & 1/4" aluminum plate and built a tool grinder. The motor runs at 1400 RPMs and with the slow speed, any heat build-up is eliminated. We also use it for the off-hand grinding of drills and other cutting tools. When setting up Hardinge lathes we take the grinder to the lathe.

Completely Portable Tool Grinder

You do not need to build a grinder to use these fine Diamond Wheels, we provide two different sized adapters 1/4" & 5/16" so you can use them on any rotating equipment you have available. With this wheel, the speed should be just fast enough to cut the tool. High speed is not desirable or necessary; it will generate heat, which will destroy the Diamonds.

The set of mounted Diamond wheels (Models CSR) come in three diameters 5/32", 3/16" & 7/32" and all with a 1/8" diameter shank size. The Diamond surface is 15/16" approximately. They can be used in any Dremelä type tool for cutting any hard material.

These wheels used with a Dremelä type tool can dress many different kinds of tools, such as dies, molds, finished hardened parts, it is up to your imagination.
