Founded in 1887
We are a member club of the
Yorkshire Photographic Union and affiliated
to the   Photographic Alliance of Great Britain

Where and when?

We meet every Thursday evening at 7.00pm at Selby College, Abbots Road, Selby from early September until early May. Those meetings
underlined on the Forthcoming Events page are in the Hawden Institute, Selby..

What do we do?

We believe that photography should be fun and the aim of our club is to provide a friendly environment where people can meet and enjoy their picture taking.
To that end, we have a full syllabus of events including:

  • Talks and demonstrations by experienced photographers.
  • print and slide competitions
  • Inter-club meets including print and slide "battles"
  • outings
  • members evenings
  • portrait nights - we provide the lights and models - the rest is up to you!
  • A Portrait Group, a Heritage Group and a Sport Group and a Pictorial who go out together to take pictures. We also run a Digital Imaging group whose aim is mutual help and guidance with the new and exciting computer technology.
  • and lots more!
