Batik designs are not silk screened or transfers. I personally hand paint each piece with melted wax and dye and then boil it to get all the wax out of the fabric. Each piece is a unique piece of art and will last for years and years, even on a T shirt with regular washing. Batiking can be done with any item made of natural fibers. cotton, linen, hemp, natural canvas. Nothing synthetic fabric, shirts, clothing, flags, tapestries, fine art pieces Batiked images become part of the fabric and will not fade. Batiking is hard physical work. Batiking takes a lot of time, practice, effort and supplies. Batiking is a labor of love. I would love to batik something for you too. All ideas welcome. Please come back to see my new line of abstract art pieces and more cityscapes in the works.
