Fancy Dolls Fancy Brigade

The Fancy Dolls, Philadelphia's only all-female fancy brigade is actively recruiting new members. "We're looking for women of all ages who have always wanted to be Mummers, to join us as we proudly participate in Philadelphia's celebration of the Year 2000.", said Club President Bobbi Kissinger. "Putting on a spectacular presentation on New Year's Day takes dedication and hard work, but it's great fun, too."

Founded in 1997 by Captain Sonny McHale, the Fancy Dolls have strutted and danced their way up Broad Street and in the Convention Center to the themes of "Cabaret" (1998) and "Dames-at-Sea" (1999). "Our theme for the Year 2000 Mummers Parade is still secret," said Captain McHale, "but take my word for it, we're going to be fabulous!"
