Frequently Asked Questions
Q:  Why does a VW get so much attention?
A:  Everyone has had some experience with a Volkswagen Bug, whether owning one personally or knowing someone who did.  People's reaction to the car is shear amazement from having memories of the little VW "grocery getter" to seeing the all out 6 second Pro-Stock Drag Car they see before them.

Q:  Why do I race a VW Bug?
A:  VWs are moderately priced cars to modify and race and parts are readily available.  There are two nationally sanctioned bodies designed for the sport of VW racing, which are IVWA and PRA.

Q:  Can the car perform?
A:  This car will consistently turn mid to low 6 second passes at speeds over 110 mph in the 1/8 mile and mid to high 9 second passes at speeds over 140 in the 1/4 mile--without the use of Nitrous.

Q:  Are there after market products and product support for a   Volkswagen?
A:  There are hundreds of companies offering performance parts for both water cooled and air cooled VW models.

Q:  How was the car designed?
A:  The car is an all out Pro-Stock VW, using a mild steel tube chassis and uses a 2.5 liter air cooled Type I engine and transmission.
