Chad and I were married on Valentine's Day 1998 in a small afternoon ceremony. We had a smallish wedding at a hotel garden with a pretty gazebo and a little "cake and punch" reception. We wanted a small but special wedding with lots of little details.

Although the ceremony location was "touch and go" until a month before the wedding, all the other people who helped make the day possible went above and beyond the bounds of satisfactory. The cakes were amazing, the reverend went out of his way to work with us to make the ceremony special.

I have to say, that as hectic as weddings can be, I really enjoyed planning for ours, and making the florals, making the programs and favors, and doing all the little detailed tasks myself. Taking a "hands-on" approach really added to the experience.
