Avoca is appropriately
named after the Vale of Avoca, County Wicklow, Ireland, immortalized in
Thomas Moore's poem "The Meeting of the Waters".
Niagara-on-the-Lake has its own Meeting of the Waters, namely Lake
Ontario, the Niagara River and the Welland Canal.
