The goal of the Aragon and PerforminInternet Resources

Open up any search engine, type in pottery or ceramics, and the universe will be at your fingertips. However, to make a search more productive you will need to be more specific. The following list of web sites and other Internet resources is divided into types of collections that are available on the Internet. Clue: Be patient. Art sites tend to have lots of photos, which can slow up the process.

Ask Art, information on 42,000 American artists, many notable sculptors
Artcyclopedia For best results search by the artists name or search directory by medium: sculpture. Browese artists by movement such as Art Nouveau, Late 19th Century to Early 20th Century .
Image Index EAW Museums and Collections
From the website: Exploring Ancient World Cultures, is a wonderful image index to the cultural icons, art and architecture of eight ancient cultures (The Near East, India, Egypt, China, Greece, Rome, Early Islam and Medieval Europe.) Includes ceramics and sculpture.
History Explorer: This interactive timeline from the Smithsonian National Museum of American History allows users to browse events by historical era or trace historical developments by themes such as "Art and Culture," Images of objects from the museum's online collections and links to online exhibits entice the user to learn more about the shaping of America.
